Roald Dahl Club Spring 2022

In Roald Dahl Club this term we have been having lots of fun focusing on one of his classic stories each week. This week, in order to fit them in, we had a double whammy with Matilda and George's Marvellous Medicine. For Matilda the choice of activity was obvious and we created our own Bruce Bogtrotter Chocolate cakes. I decided to be more like Miss Honey and less Miss Trunchball and I did not force them to eat it all. Though I think from the licking of fingers they would of been up for the challenge! In our medicine corner we had a variety of nice and disgusting ingredients for them to create their special medicines. We had anti-baldness, anti-aging and brother repellent concoctions and a mighty fine mess to clear up at the end. It has been a lovely term exploring Roald Dahl stories with the children and seeing their enthusiasm for the books grow. Mrs Collins
